Products
The Products page is the full list of your individual products that answer engines actually mention — not the catalog you sell, but the catalog AI talks about. Each row shows a product, its image, and how it performs in AI answers.
Nothing here is uploaded. Genezio auto-detects products from AI conversations only — there is no catalog upload, no product feed, no crawl, and no manual entry. If a product appears on this page, an answer engine named it.
Note: This page is not the same as Master Filters, which were previously called "Products". Master Filters group topics so you can slice your own reporting by product line. The Products page below lists the individual products AI mentions, discovered automatically. They are different features.
Shopping & Product Visibility is an enterprise feature. It is switched on for a brand by the Genezio team based on your contract — there is no self-serve toggle. Talk to your Genezio contact if you don't see the Shopping section.
What the Page Shows
Every product answer engines named in your tracked conversations, with:
- the product image, so you can scan the list visually instead of parsing SKU names
- a Product Visibility column — how often the product appears in the conversations it was eligible for
- a Product Recommendation column — how often, when it did appear, AI actually recommended it
- co-mentioned products — which products get named alongside it
Both metrics use the same formulas as the brand-level KPIs, scoped to a single product:
- Product Visibility = conversations the product appears in ÷ eligible conversations
- Product Recommendation = conversations where it was recommended ÷ conversations where it was visible
So a product's numbers are directly comparable to your brand's numbers, and to each other.
Searching and Filtering
The list is searchable and filterable, which matters once AI is naming dozens of your products.
- Search by product name to jump straight to the item you care about — useful when you're preparing for a category review or a launch retro.
- Filter to narrow the list down to the slice you're working on, then sort within it.
Start filtered, not with the full list. A focused set of ten products tells a clearer story than a scroll through everything.
Sorting to Triage
Both the Visibility and Recommendation columns are sortable. Sorting is the fastest way to turn the list into a to-do list, because the two metrics answer different questions.
- Sort by Visibility, descending. These are the products AI knows. They are your strongest assets in answer engines.
- Sort by Visibility, ascending. These are the products AI rarely surfaces. Either the product is genuinely absent from the sources AI reads, or it's being described in ways that don't match how buyers ask.
- Sort by Recommendation, ascending — then look at the high-visibility rows.
That third pattern is the important one:
- High visibility + low recommendation = AI names the product but doesn't pick it. It's in the consideration set and losing. This is usually a positioning, review, or comparison-content problem, not an awareness problem.
- Low visibility + high recommendation = when AI does find it, it likes it. The product deserves more presence in the sources answer engines read.
- High + high = your reference products. Study what their coverage looks like and replicate it.
- Low + low = the product is effectively invisible in AI shopping answers. Decide whether it's worth investing in.

Co-Mentioned Products
Answer engines rarely name one product in isolation. They assemble a shortlist. The co-mentioned products view shows you who else is on that shortlist — in two flavors.
Your Own Products Named Together
When AI names two of your products in the same answer, it has grouped them in its head — as alternatives, as a good/better/best ladder, or as things that go together.
What to do with it:
- If two products co-mention constantly and one is clearly a downgrade of the other, check whether AI is describing the difference the way you'd want it to.
- If products you consider complements co-mention, that's a bundling and cross-sell story your content can lean into.
- If two products you consider distinct keep getting confused for each other, your product pages and third-party coverage probably aren't differentiating them clearly enough.
Competitor Products That Steal the Slot
The same view shows which competitor products get named alongside yours — the ones occupying the slot you wanted.
This is the most directly actionable thing on the page. It tells you, per product, who you're actually being compared against in AI answers. That set is often different from the competitors your team assumes.
What to do with it:
- Treat the recurring competitor products as your real comparison set, and make sure comparison content exists for them.
- Look for competitor products that show up against many of your products — that's a competitor winning the category, not just one matchup.
- Cross-check the list against your tracked Competitors. If a competitor product keeps taking your slot but the brand isn't tracked, add it.
Where to Start
If this is your first pass:
- Filter to the category you own.
- Sort by Visibility, descending — confirm the products you expect to lead actually do.
- Sort by Recommendation, ascending, and look at high-visibility products. Those are the fastest wins.
- Open the co-mentions for your top three products to see who is taking the slot.
- Open Product Details on the worst offender to see exactly what AI says about it.
