Content Analyzer
The Content Analyzer takes a single piece of content and tells you how well it is set up to be found, trusted, and quoted by AI answer engines — and exactly what to change.
It's the input side of the loop. The rest of the platform measures what answer engines say about your brand; the Content Analyzer measures the pages on your side that they read.
Note: This replaces the old content scoring screen. Instead of a bare score, every check now comes with a plain-language takeaway and concrete recommendations you can turn into an action plan.
Why It Exists
Answer engines don't cite pages because they rank well. They cite pages that clearly answer a question, are easy to parse, and come from a domain the model already trusts.
That's hard to eyeball. The Content Analyzer makes it measurable — before you publish, or on a page that's already live and underperforming in AI answers.
What You Can Analyze
You can run the analyzer on three kinds of input:
- A URL — check a page that's already published. The URL is validated up front, so you find out immediately if it can't be read, rather than after the analysis.
- An uploaded file — analyze a document you're working on.
- Pasted draft text — paste a draft straight in and check it before it ever ships.
That last option matters most: it lets you fix a piece while it's still cheap to change.
What the Report Checks
Each check comes back with a plain-language takeaway — what it means and what to do about it — rather than a number you have to interpret.
Brand Favorability
The tone AI takes toward your brand in this content. A page can be technically fine and still frame you weakly.
Question Coverage
Which real user questions the content actually answers. This is the difference between a page that is about a topic and a page that resolves the thing someone asked.
Citation Standing
Optionally provide the domain you plan to publish on, and see how it stands against the domains answer engines already cite in your space. It tells you whether you're publishing somewhere models trust, or somewhere they've never surfaced.
If the domain can't be reached, the report says so clearly instead of failing silently.
Brand Fit
A Strong / Good / Weak verdict on how well the content fits your brand — with the reasoning shown on the card, so you can judge whether you agree.
Structure and Technical Checks
Each of these also returns a plain-language takeaway:
- GEO structure — is the content organized the way answer engines like to consume it?
- Readability — is it clear enough to be quoted?
- Findability — can it be discovered in the first place?
- Schema and rendering — is the markup and rendered output machine-readable?
- Content-type fit — is this the right format for the intent (guide, comparison, FAQ, and so on)?
The Action Plan
This is what makes the report useful rather than merely informative.
Every insight comes with concrete recommendations — for example:
- "Add a comparison table"
- "Open with an answer-first definition"
- "Add source citations"
You tick the recommendations you want to act on and they collect into an action plan. When you're happy with the list, hit Continue in Content Hub to carry those items straight into drafting — so the fixes land in the actual article instead of in a forgotten document.
When Content Doesn't Match a Topic
If the content doesn't map to any topic you track, the report says so explicitly with a "no match" state.
That isn't a failure — it's a finding. Either the content is aimed at something outside your tracked space, or you're missing a topic you should be measuring. See Topics.
Exporting the Report
The full report can be exported as a PDF — the easy way to hand findings to a writer, an agency, or a stakeholder who doesn't log into Genezio.
A Typical Workflow
- Open the Content Analyzer and provide a URL, file, or pasted draft.
- Optionally add the domain you plan to publish on to get citation standing.
- Read the report top to bottom — Question Coverage and Brand Fit usually explain the most.
- Tick the recommendations worth doing into the action plan.
- Hit Continue to carry them into Content Hub and draft the improved piece.
- Publish, then watch whether the page starts showing up in your citations.
